Reserve a Scanning Kit
The journey begins by reserving your scanning kit from our bronze collection. We recommend scanning your bump between weeks 32-35 of your pregnancy, so it's wise to secure your kit as soon as possible to ensure availability. During the reservation process, you have the opportunity to make important choices:
- Choose Your Patina Color: Select your favorite patina color, which will add a distinct personality to your bronze statue.
- Select Your Preferred Size: Opt for a size of 15, 18, or 21cm, allowing you to tailor the statue to your preferences.
- Specify Hands or No Hands: Indicate whether you'd like your statue to include hands or maintain a more minimalist appearance.
Don't worry if you're not entirely sure about your choices; you can still make adjustments after the scan.
Scanning Kit
Once your kit is reserved, it will be delivered by post on a Thursday. You'll have the entire weekend to experiment with different poses and select the stand that best suits you. We've included a return label for your convenience. The kit comprises:
- 3D Scanner: Our state-of-the-art 3D scanner utilizes an infrared light projector to create a three-dimensional representation of your body. Rest assured, no photos are saved; it only captures the geometry of your form.
- Turntable: Standing atop the turntable allows you to keep the 3D scanner stationary, simplifying the scanning process. Each rotation takes approximately 45 seconds, and 3 to 4 rotations are needed for a complete scan.

Please note that you'll need a Windows PC or MAC to operate the 3D scanner, which is not included in the kit.
Scan Yourself
While you stand on the turntable, a partner needs to control the 3D scanner. Each scan takes about 2-3 minutes to complete. After the scan, depending on your PC's processing power, it may take anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes to convert the data into a 3D model. The result doesn't have to be perfect; our digital artists can refine the raw scan data to enhance the final result and address any gaps.
Next, you'll send your favorite model to MyBump, specifying where you'd like to make cuts to create the statue or allowing our skilled artists to decide. You can also request subtle alterations, such as the removal of scars, cellulite, or imperfections, to ensure you're completely comfortable with the final outcome.
Bronze Cast
Once we receive your model, our team processes the raw scan and consults with you to ensure the final 3D model meets your expectations. Then, we hand over the model to our trusted bronze foundry.
At the foundry, the casting process begins with the printing of a plastic model, followed by the creation of a silicone mold into which molten bronze is poured. After curing, the mold is removed, and skilled craftsmen put the finishing touches on the bronze statue.
Our talented artists take over from there, applying a patina color to make the statue even more unique. This patina adds a thin layer that naturally forms on the surface of metals over time but can also be accelerated using specific chemicals. This complex process ensures that each statue boasts a one-of-a-kind surface finish. To safeguard your statue's patina, we offer our Renaissance Wax, which also ensures that the patina won't undergo further changes. Final Delivery
After this meticulous crafting process, your statue will be delivered to your doorstep in 8-12 weeks. Expect it to arrive in beautiful packaging, ensuring that your treasured piece is presented with the same care and attention to detail as the creation process itself.
