What to gift at a baby shower
If the parents-to-be have created a registry, you can select a gift from there, ensuring that it's something they want and need. However, this is not (yet) a common custom in Switzerland. Therefore, guests often choose to give gifts such as baby clothes, toys, books, or other baby-related items. While these can be thoughtful and appreciated, it can be tricky to know the parents' style preferences. Or perhaps the baby’s room is already well-prepared, or the mom already has an abundance of (pre-loved) clothes and toys.
In such cases, it is increasingly common to give a bigger joint gift such as the crib, something nice and more luxurious for the baby room, the stroller, or something else the parents have expressed they still need. Going in as a group on these bigger gifts lets you go all out, getting something the parents genuinely want or need. Another creative choice is to offer a gift that helps the parents commemorate the pregnancy and the newborn phase, like a pregnancy or newborn photoshoot.

So how does it work in a nutshell?
- Choose the statue style in our online collection.
- Reserve a scanning set that will be delivered to the given address.
- The new mom 3D scans herself from the comfort of her home. As each scan only takes ~2 minutes to complete, she can try different poses to see what resonates best with her.
- Send back the scanning kit using the preprinted label and upload the final scan using the provided link. We preprocess the raw scan and check the final touched-up 3D model with you before casting the statue.
- After ~12 weeks, the new mom’s unique bronze pregnancy statue will be ready and delivered to her home.

How to surprise the mom? Well, this is up to you! You can choose a statue type and book the 3D scanning kit on her behalf (note that it is possible to alter the style, colour, and size of the statue when you send us the 3D model).
